FS16x2 is a three way 1/4” fuel selector with positions LEFT-RIGHT-OFF and a 90 degree action between each tank selection. There is also a safety feature where the red button on the lever has to be raised in order to switch off the fuel which prevents the fuel from being switched off accidently.
The FS16x2 has no lower fitting which means that it is ideal for areas where there is little space behind the valve. This valve has also proven to be popular in an aeroplane configuration where there are two fuselage tanks, for example Main, Header or Front and Rear. The fascia plate can be engraved in such a way that the most used tank is at the 12 o'clock position (and therefore in the direction of flight) and the lesser used tank at the 9 o'clock position. Andair has also produced this valve for byplane aircraft with the engraving UPPER and LOWER. This valve has the inlets ports at the Left and Right hand side and the outlet towards the front.
One of the great features of this unit is that when the selector is in the OFF position, there is no cross feed between each tank. Therefore in a situation where an aeroplane is parked on a slope, or if one tank is fuller than the other, no crossfeed will occur.
